A strong finish to a tough opening stretch.
Whilst good scores can definitely be posted on the front nine, no hole should be taken for granted. The 9th hole posts a much more difficult challenge. From the tee the fairway doglegs dramatically to the right hand side. A large sandy wasteland begins at about 100metres off the tee and stretches the length of the drive. Another risk reward hole that allows players to bite off as much as they can chew. The stony wasteland is unpleasant to play from and should be avoided at all costs. After finding the fairway, the player is confronted with arguably the most difficult approach shot on the golf course. Down wind and down hill to a very narrow green.
