With blue skies and a moderate south westerly, 13th Beach Junior’s were out on the Short Course this Sunday for their first competition of the 2022 season. With a stroke format the kids were all smiles and keen to show their supporters how it was done. There were three competitions running to provide a comfortable format for all kids entered. A nine hole comp with handicap, nine holes without a handicap and a four hole comp for the younger kids. The short course has never seen galleries this size. There was real determination to get a good swing away and the focus was incredible. With a shake of the hand and a few high fives it was all over until next we meet on Sunday 19th June from 1pm for our next event.
The Junior Committee lead by Peter Rogers were thrilled with the turn out and look forward to planning many more junior events for 13th Beach. Thanks to Anthony Bergin’s skilful planning of the format to ensure all events finished together. Was great to see so many families gathered together with a common interest. Junior sport was the winner today.
